The Village of Dundee, consisting of many unique, small shops and stores, is a popular spot for families. The Village is easily accessible via US-23 & M-50 and is a short drive from Ann Arbor, Toledo, Monroe, Detroit’s Metropolitan Airport, and major regional employers. Dundee sits on the River Raisin, and its convenient location offers numerous recreational centers, beautiful parks and a variety of shopping.

The economy of Dundee is booming thanks to the arrival of several significant businesses in the past decade. The outdoor outfitter Cabela's built its largest store in Dundee in 1999, and it has become a major attraction to the area. Other businesses have come to Dundee in its wake, including hotels, restaurants, and an indoor water park.

Still, Dundee has retained its small-town charm and historic integrity. The city is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has benefited from ongoing historical preservation efforts. Almost all the buildings in the downtown area were all built between 1866 and 1900. The Old Mill, a local landmark and present-day museum, was built in 1849 and functioned as a grist mill, a hydroelectric power mill, and part of Henry Ford's production line.

The combination of modern business development, a historic small-town feeling, and proximity to other cities, makes Dundee a great place for anybody to live.

More information on Dundee can be found on the Village of Dundee Web site or at the Monroe County Convention & Tourism Bureau.
